On Tuesday, July 08, 2025, the Entrepreneurship Start-up Grants jury met to hear interim assessments from the winners of the year’s 1\u02b3\u1d49 session<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The meeting began with a minute’s silence in tribute to Jean L. Lamy (S 1971), who passed away on Sunday July 6, 2025. Jean L. Lamy was convinced of the importance of generosity to his school and to future generations of engineers. That’s why he made a long-term commitment to financing, in particular, the Entrepreneurship Start-up Grants. <\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Flyte project aims to make carpooling more accessible by promoting community-building through an application.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since April, the team has grown to include 4 people:<\/p>\n

  • Th\u00e9o Billini, Co-Founder and CTO<\/li>\n
  • Noam Lachkar, Co-Founder and CPO<\/li>\n
  • Olga Montesinos, IU\/UX Design<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The team in place has developed new features for the application<\/strong>: new onboarding, added filters, automatic return trip, translation of the application into English, and redesign of the profile page.<\/p>\n

    They have also benefited from a number of opportunities that have raised their profile and fueled their development<\/strong>: partnership with Airexpo, participation in Viva Tech 2025, development of an ambassador program…<\/p>\n

    Now on their way to the United States to complete a double degree as part of their studies, they want to take advantage of this opportunity to study the American market.<\/p>\n

    The eSTOL light aircraft project aims to produce a hybrid-electric aircraft with short take-off and landing distances for carrying heavy payloads<\/strong> over medium distances, with the ability to land in areas with minimal infrastructure.<\/p>\n

    Since April, they have been testing their prototype with ground campaigns<\/strong> (Static Wing Loading, Thrust Loading and Profile, Pre-Flight Systems).<\/p>\n

    Starting in July, it plans to launch a flight test campaign<\/strong> (Tethered setup, Telemetry setup, Flight).<\/p>\n

    They also launched a study of 5 types of potential market for their solution<\/strong>, and worked on modeling usage scenarios for their device.<\/p>\n

    The \u03c0-World project aims to get students interested in mathematics again, through “Escape Game” or “Jeu de Piste” type games.<\/strong> It aims to provide an answer to the problem of learning mathematics in France, with a particular focus on girls. <\/p>\n

    The first iteration of the escape game “Le Tr\u00e9sor de Barbe D’Olonne” was tested on April 20 by 5\u1d49 students<\/strong>from coll\u00e8ge Pierre Mauger (Les Sables d’Olonne). The puzzles brought together the following concepts: <\/p>\n

      \n
    • Properties of triangles<\/li>\n
    • Relative numbers (+ and -)<\/li>\n
    • Coordinate reading<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Following the sessions, the students were asked to complete a questionnaire to gather their opinions on the game. The feedback was as follows: the vast majority enjoyed handling objects and accessories; they would like to see more puzzles, with more reflection.<\/strong> This observation is unanimous among both boys and girls.<\/p>\n

      A new competitive study has also been carried out, consolidating the idea that the project has its place in the market.<\/p>\n

      The concept was also presented to the rectorat de l’acad\u00e9mie de Toulouse, and a partnership will be set up in January 2026 to test future models.<\/p>\n
