The start of the 2026 academic year: the Foundation supporting students throughout their time at ISAE-SUPAERO

To mark the start of the new academic year at ISAE-SUPAERO, the Foundation met with students to introduce them to its work and explain the various ways in which it can support them throughout their studies.
The Foundation by your side
During your time at ISAE-SUPAERO, you may find yourself in contact with the Foundation for a variety of reasons. Do you have a personal or extracurricular project you’d like to develop? Are you facing a difficulty that requires support from the community? Are you undertaking a research project or a degree programme?
The Foundation can support you through a range of schemes. Please do not hesitate to come and speak to us: we are here to listen to you, provide you with information and guide you towards the schemes best suited to your situation or your project. Throughout the year, you can also find our latest news and various calls for proposals on our communication channels.

A letter to myself:
a meeting with your future self
Why not take a few minutes today to write to the person you will be when you graduate? The ISAE-SUPAERO Foundation invites you to write a letter to yourself, which will be kept sealed throughout your time at the school and handed to you when you graduate. This is an opportunity to take a step back and reflect on how you feel today – your desires, your ambitions, your doubts and your hopes. It’s also a chance to leave a record of the person you are at the start of this journey.
How should you write your letter?
There are no strict rules: this letter is, above all, yours.
To make the experience more personalised, however, we recommend that you:
- write your letter by hand, to emphasise spontaneity and emotion;
- use ‘I’ and ‘you’, as if you were speaking directly to your future self;
- write in the present tense;
- to visualise exactly the person you will be when you graduate;
- Be sincere, kind and honest with yourself.
A few questions to get you started
Not sure where to start? Here are a few ideas:
- What would you like to say to the person you’ll become when you graduate?
- What are your expectations, feelings, fears or hopes today?
- How do you envisage your development during your time at ISAE-SUPAERO?
- What advice would you like to give to your future self?
- What questions would you like to ask him?
- What would you like to have achieved, learnt or discovered?
- What matters to you today?
- What would you like to start, explore further or, on the contrary, leave behind?
- What would you really not want to forget in a few years’ time?
This list is deliberately not exhaustive. Talk about what matters to you, whatever the subject: your studies, plans, relationships, ambitions, achievements, challenges, passions or simply your day-to-day life.
Your letter should be personal and sincere. It is intended for no one but you.
So, go for it. In a few years’ time, your future self might thank you for writing it.
