ENTREPRENEURSHIP START-UP GRANTS 2025: Milhane presents Flyte

Read the testimonial from Milhane Bekkaye, winner of the Entrepreneurship Start-up Grants with Théo Bellini for their Flyte project: making car-sharing more accessible by promoting community-building, thanks to an application.

Can you introduce yourself?

I’m Milhane Bekkaye, a 2nd year student in the engineering program. I came out of a preparatory class, the classic pattern, and I really discovered entrepreneurship here at ISAE-SUPAERO. I’m not going to lie to you and say that ever since I was a kid, I’ve wanted to set up a company, because I didn’t even think it was possible, to tell you the truth. It was here at ISAE-SUPAERO that I discovered entrepreneurship, and that’s how I got started, with my colleague Théo Bellini: he too followed the classic route, a preparatory class; he too is in his 2nd year at ISAE-SUPAERO, in the engineering curriculum. Like me, entrepreneurship wasn’t necessarily something he had in mind, and I think it was especially last year, as part of the entrepreneurship association we set up, “Supaero Star’Venture”, that he really discovered this entrepreneurial spirit.

Can you tell us about your project?

Flyte is a platform designed to make carpooling more attractive to users. We’ve built a platform around a system of community groups that enables users to share their journeys in complete confidence, and with a dynamic feed that really revolutionizes the way carpooling is approached, to make it more attractive and have a higher adoption rate.

It’s a system of groups: there’s already the ISAE-SUPAERO group, there’s the Toulouse students’ group, but it can also be applied to sports; for example, there’s already the Toulouse climbers’ group, those who want to go climbing together.

How did you feel when you learned that you had been selected as one of the winners of the Entrepreneurship Start-up Grants 2025?

What a relief! Fortunately, the news arrived fairly quickly after the pitches to the jury. It was an important moment for us, because it’s a project in which we believe a lot, and for which we took a few risks, notably financial since we financed the first part of the project ourselves. But above all for me personally, I chose not to do an internship during this period to devote myself 100% to the project. So this grant really gives us a boost, and we’ll be able to bring the project to fruition. It was a real relief when I received the e-mail!

What are the next steps for your project?

One thing that has held back development: financially, it was complicated to create the company. Part of this grant will enable us to do so in the very short term. . At the same time, we’ve been lucky enough to be selected to take part in a marketing and business school’s boot camp, where a dozen students will be working on our project for a month. We’ll be able to use some of the scholarship money to help them set up Ads or other tools they might need. We’re about to begin our official roll-out to companies, and we’re going to get a lot of feedback. Our aim is to be able to deliver quickly. To achieve this, we’re not ruling out the possibility of hiring a freelance developer. . We taught ourselves to code and we coded the application, which is currently available and 100% functional, 100% secure. But now that we’ve also got the business side of things to consider, it’s hard to get into it full-time, so we’ll probably need to call in someone later on.

Any final words?

Thanks to their donations, donors make it possible for young students like me to live their dream. Honestly, today I’m at a stage where I can’t see myself doing anything else with my life. I want to live from this, I want to live from my projects. . Being able to access this kind of scholarship, thanks to donors, gives a little boy, a young adult, the opportunity to try and live his dreams, and that’s exceptional.

Thanks to these donations, we’ll also be able to build a project that, potentially, will influence the generations that follow to take the plunge and do things for themselves. I’m convinced, especially in the coming generations, given the way the world is shaping up, that it’s through entrepreneurship that we’ll be able to make our country, or the world, a better place to live. Thanks to our donors.

Thanks to these donors, the Bourses Jeunes Pousses are making some noise: I’ve got colleagues around me who are going to hear about it, and they’ll be able to say to themselves: ok, if Milhane managed to do it, so can we! So why not go for it? It’s really incredible that this kind of scheme is available.
