“Resonance Conference at ISAE-SUPAERO

Why this conference?

This international conference aimed to bring together researchers, scientists and industry professionals to provide a forum with the latest advances in the fields of structural vibration, structural health monitoring and acoustics, as well as the opportunity to interact in a collegial atmosphere..

It was an event organized through various learned societies:

• SFA (French Acoustics Society)
• ADyVA (French Association for Structural Dynamics and Vibro-Acoustics)
• AFM (French Mechanical Association)

How did the conference go?

The RESONANCE conference consisted of the following sub-events at the same time and place:

• SURVISHNO (SURveillance, VIbration, SHocks and NOise)
• JISFA (Journées Industrielles de la Société Française d’Acoustique)
• JJCAB (Young Researchers’ Day on Acoustics and Noise)
• RESONANCE SUMMER CAMP (Summer Camp on vibration control)
• Technical Exhibition

The conference was attended by 190 participants, over a third of them students, internationals from Belgium, Italy, Poland, the UK, South Africa, Australia, Canada and Greece, as well as industrialists.

Participants were able to attend some 140 presentations and meet a dozen exhibitors, including 6 startups.

Here are some of the highlights of the conference:

• Start-up sessions where participants could present their activities in the form of a 3-minute pitch
• Presentation of Summer Camp results by the doctoral students involved
• Results of the “SurViShNo Challenge” competition
• Visits (ICA, IRT, MFJA and ISAE)
